Why we aren't the cheapest bid — and why that matters

Cheap construction has a long memory. Here's how to read a quote, and what BRAVA does differently when we put a number on paper.

Every construction quote tells a story about how the work will actually be done. The cheapest bid usually tells the shortest one.

When we write a quote at BRAVA, we line-item the labor hours, the material grade, the subcontractor allowances, and the contingency. You see what you're paying for, and what you'd be paying for if you went somewhere else.

That transparency is the whole point. A finished basement that floods in year two cost you the build twice. A kitchen island that bows because the substrate was wrong cost you the stone twice.

We aim to be the last contractor you hire for the project. That's a different math than being the cheapest one.
